Annapurna Re-visited after the Earthquake with new treks

The Annapurna Circuit and surrounding area was not effected by the recent earthquake, the trails are in place and the lodges are open

19th June - The road condition between Pokhara to Jomsom. The recent landslide that caused the Kali Gandaki river blockage 9km north of Beni at a place called Baisari. Reconstruction is underway and local contractors claim the road will be fully connected again in 8/9 days. Travelers have to walk 25 minutes on this landslide area until they can catch the next bus. We're trekkers, what's the problem with this?

In an effort to overcome the perceived problems and effects on trekking routes  in the Annapurna region caused by the recent extension of the local roads four new treks have been developed.
Jeeps can now drive to Tal, in the Manang District; reaching Tal Danda in 10-11 hours should you wish to take advantage of these. However, some people might want to stop over night in Chamje and then start the trek fresh the following morning by crossing the Marsyangdi River and following the old trail into Tal village.
These newly developed treks can either be completed in their own right as standalone treks or they can be used altogether to avoid the old existing north-eastern side of the circuit
